The company feels this is the most difficult period for the individual who has to cope with both the financial pressure of earning enough money for surgery as well as the social stigma of being “in-between”. Some people say my heart has turned to stone, but this kind, generous gesture brought tears to my eyes. I remember what it was like when I first tried to find a job. Even when I landed a job, being the subject of watercooler gossiping was not my worst experience.
